Cherry Hill Westside Wrestling is dedicated to having fun! Though we provide structure for the children, our main focus is on their enjoyment in participating in a group sport. Pushing children to win, win, win…may work in some programs but our philosophy is geared toward encouraging our wrestler’s enthusiasm to come to practice, matches and return each year, as made evident by the growing number of registrants each season. Endurance, technique and skills are learned through repetition, as well as above average live wrestling, under a strong coach to wrestler ratio. The success of our program is gauged by the number of children that return each season.
Cherry Hill West High School has graciously opened their Wrestling Room to our team.
The cost is $105.00 per wrestler. All participants must obtain a USA Wrestling Card which is INCLUDED in the registration fee this year. There is also $40 deposit for your singlet which is refunded when your singlet is returned at the end of the season.
Grapevine League and Tournaments
Westside competes in the South Jersey Grapevine league, whose purpose is to create an atmosphere for the youth wrestler from Kindergarten through 8th grade, which will aid in the teaching of skills, development of sportsmanship, and the encouragement of continued participation in the sport of wrestling into High School and beyond. There is no additional cost for these meets.
All practices are at Cherry Hill West in the wrestling room. For the 2013-2014 season, the practice schedule is as follows:
TOT: 2007-2008 (or younger) Monday, Wednesday 6:30PM-8:00PM
